My artistic learning was broadened, in high school, with Speech and Drama classes. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre, English and Education. My Master's degree was "Interdisciplinary Creative Arts". The degree required a creative project which combined a previous art study (Theatre and English) with the study of a new art (Film). I produced an animated film and wrote and illustrated a motivational booklet for high school teachers.
My studies in painting were conducted primarily at the North Shore Art League, Winnetka, Illinois and the Art Institute of Chicago's summer camp, Oxbow, Saugatuck Michigan.
My Art Shows have been in Illinois and Michigan. I particularly enjoy One-Woman show awards. I continue to produce watercolors, acrylics and collage. From hand-painted greeting cards to custom wall hangings.
Creativity is my core - and, I believe, is pre-packaged with every soul.

I enjoy the adventure of mixing mediums, specifically watercolors, acrylics, and inks with water.
It's always an exciting challenge to balance and control the intended result.
This creative process of painting, for me, is like getting on the dance floor: feeling, listening, watching, and often - even stepping on toes.

Further, I enjoy building and designing within a collage format. It can heighten playfulness when integrating several mediums with items, such as, a variety of papers, natural elements, fabrics and words which, can be especially fun when used as double meanings.

Nature is my inspiration! fascinating and ever changing. Looking at the sky, landscapes, flowers, and water is fascinating, ever-changing and peaceful.
Themes of survival and beauty are especially intriguing. The ability of an unattended barn to remain standing after years of neglect, or a flower to bloom after a winter’s frost resonates

It's thrilling to have another person respond positively and personally to my art. Here’s hoping you are one of those people!
